Hewenden Juniors are proud to introduce their brand-new U6’s Introduction to Football sessions, specially designed for children in school Year One who are ready to begin their grassroots football journey. These sessions aim to build confidence, develop core football skills, and prepare young players for their transition into the U7’s mini soccer teams next season. With a focus on fun, learning, and early development, the programme offers a perfect stepping stone for children eager to get involved in the game.
Led by Matt Toulmin, an FA Level 2 qualified coach with extensive experience in youth football, the sessions will take place every Friday from 6pm to 7pm at Beckfoot School, Bingley, starting Friday 3rd October. Children will learn essential techniques such as dribbling, passing, shooting, and teamwork in a safe and supportive environment. As they approach age six, opportunities may arise for them to experience match play alongside the U7’s. Spaces are limited to just twelve children for the season to ensure quality coaching and individual attention, with a cost of £20.00 per month.
